The Trip is Booked!

It's official. Martin and I are going on September 15th, 2011. We are stopping in South Korea first, and spending a couple days in Seoul with my friend from College, Henry. He and his wife were nice enough to offer their floor for us to sleep on. The plan is to bike (and/or bus) to Busan - which is where we will pick up the ferry to Japan! We won't be spending much time in South Korea but it will be an added bonus to our trip. Of course we'll climb the tallest mountain in Jeju-Si.

Testing the Waters

I wanted to write something down that I can share with family and friends as Martin and I begin our big adventure out of Alaska, down the Alcan in our white and blue van and onto Japan by bike. We are currently diving through guidebooks and maps planning our bike tour. Right now my biggest concern is staying on budget, but thankfully the Japanese Tourist Industry provides free maps, hostel guides and camping guides. So Stay tuned for our next big adventure. I can't wait to begin driving out of Alaska into the unknown!
